Another simple weight loss secret and recommended good habit:

Banish high fructose corn syrup forever.

To be fair, this is much easier said than done, given that high fructose corn syrup is used in virtually EVERYTHING these days. It’s easy to make and cheap to buy, so the commercial food industry loves the stuff.

But for the consumer, it’s a health and weight loss disaster. High fructose corn syrup is one of the single most influential contributors to the alarming epidemic of obesity in America (which is now spreading to other parts of the world).

The biggest offenders are sodas and other beverages sweetened with HFCS. Did you know that a single can of soda contains the equivalent of 14 teaspoons of sugar, mostly in the form of HFCS?

HFCS is hidden in many foods and goes by a variety of names, including fructose, glucose, isoglucose, maize syrup or glucose-fructose syrup. Get in the habit of reading every label, and if a food or drink contains HFCS, pass on it.

If you’re serious about weight loss, you have to eliminate HFCS.
